Description:

The Castrol Alphasyn™ T range of synthetic gear lubricants is based on polyalphaolefin (PAO) fluids and a sulfur/phosphorus anti-wear additive technology to provide excellent thermal stability and good load-carrying capacity.

Application:

Alphasyn T grades have been formulated for use in most types of lightly to moderately loaded enclosed gear systems but should not be used in high-load/shock-load systems. Alphasyn T is also suitable for bearing lubrication and circulating systems operating at high temperatures, as well as various high-temperature applications, such as in hydraulic systems and for the lubrication of large, slow-moving gears. All products in the Alphasyn T range feature very low pour points and excellent viscosity/temperature characteristics, enabling their use in both low- and high-temperature applications. The Alphasyn T range is fully compatible with nitrile, silicone, and fluoropolymer sealing materials. Alphasyn T is classified as follows: DIN CL classification. Alphasyn T grades meet the requirements of: DIN 51517 Part 2 David Brown Type A.
