Castrol Magna™ SW D (formerly known as Magnaglide D Range) is specially formulated for lubricating machine tool slideways. These oils are enriched with extreme pressure additives that provide lubricity and a special material, which adds tackiness and adhesiveness. Magna SW D lubricants stand out for their unusual ability to overcome the "stick-slip" motion typically associated with slow-moving tool components. They reduce machine tool slideway vibration and possess the necessary adhesive properties to prevent lubricant runoff.

Application:

Magna SW D can be used on all vertical and horizontal slideways requiring a high-quality demulsifying lubricant to protect the guides and maximize coolant lifespan. The products' excellent friction characteristics prevent "stick-slip," improve surface finish and machined component tolerances, while reducing rejection rates. Magna SW D meets the strict requirements of the following applications: planers, grinders, horizontal boring machines, shapers, jig borers, and milling machines. Magna SW D 32 can be used as a combined hydraulic and slideway oil. The Magna SW D range complies with: Cincinnati Lamb (Milacron) P-47, P-50, and P-53 (depending on viscosity grade) DIN 51502 – CGLP DIN 51524 Part II (July 2004) – including filtration testing according to ISO 13357-1/-2. Recommended for Müller Weingarten equipment as a hydraulic oil.
