Castrol Spheerol™ EPL is a range of lithium-based greases made with highly refined mineral oils and enhanced with extreme pressure additives, as well as corrosion and rust inhibitors. These greases are formulated with additives that provide optimal film strength under medium to high loads.

Application:

The Spheerol EPL range consists of general-purpose greases designed for plant-wide lubrication. The selection extends from NLGI 3-rated greases for general bearing lubrication to semifluid greases with an NLGI 00 rating (refer to the specific datasheet) recommended for centralized lubrication systems and gearboxes in grease baths. These greases provide optimal protection against rust and corrosion, as well as resistance to water washout. Thanks to these specifications, they are particularly suitable for equipment frequently exposed to humid conditions. The higher consistency achieved by NLGI 3-grade greases makes them especially suitable for lubricating vertically mounted bearings or components subjected to intense vibrations. The optimal levels of corrosion and water washout resistance make this product a suitable choice for equipment often operating in humid conditions. The operating temperature range is between -25°C and +120°C for Spheerol EPL 0, 1 & 2, and between -20°C and +120°C for Spheerol EPL 3.
