Tribol GR 4020 PD greases (formerly known as Castrol Tribol™ 4020) are formulated with highly refined mineral base oil, complex lithium-based thickener, and the Tribol Grease Oil Additive (TGOA) system, an advanced additive technology designed to reduce friction and improve surface finish. These multi-service greases are engineered to extend the service life of bearings subjected to high loads and elevated temperatures. Due to their ability to withstand shock loads, anti-wear properties, and friction-reducing capabilities, Tribol GR 4020 PD outperforms conventional complex greases thanks to its advanced TGOA additive technology. This technology enables non-destructive smoothing of surface roughness. Such smoothing helps reduce friction and increase the capacity to handle higher loads. If surface roughness peaks reappear due to shock loads or continuous stop-start operations, the TGOA additive technology automatically reactivates, allowing surface smoothing to occur again, thereby optimizing lubrication.

Application

Tribol GR 4020 PD greases are multi-service greases for plain and anti-friction bearings subjected to medium and high loads. The TGOA additives are highly effective in protecting machined bearing surfaces during critical run-in periods. A good surface finish on bearings is essential for their long-term durability. Tribol GR 4020 PD is used in automotive industry applications, as well as in any application requiring a high-performance, non-dark grease.
